With over 40 years of experience in the music industry, I take pride in delivering innovation and excellence across sound design, instrumentation, vocals, mixing, and mastering—with both precision and passion.
Since 1980, I’ve been at the forefront of transformational music technology. My journey began with the groundbreaking Prophet 5, the first microprocessor keyboard with MIDI capabilities. I went on to pioneer digital sampling at E-Mu Systems with the Emulator, then served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Roger Linn, where I contributed to revolutionary advancements in drum machines and sound libraries for the LinnDrum and Linn 9000.
I later launched the Photon MIDI Guitar and spearheaded the creation of the Sound Composer Series, one of the most successful and influential sound sampling libraries to date. This series redefined sampling by embracing diverse sources, producers, and production techniques—back when we had to stretch every bit of creativity out of a 2-second, 8-bit sample. I was there then, and today, the sonic possibilities are truly limitless.
After licensing Photon Guitar technology to Gibson Guitar Corporation, I took on an executive role as President of Apple VAR Filmsonix in Hollywood. Our offices at the Record Plant and Paramount Pictures Recording Studios were part of a legacy founded by Chris Stone, creator of the legendary Record Plant Studios.
Whether you're an emerging artist or a seasoned professional, please join us in our passion for music composition and monetizing your productions.

I studied music composition with a focus on electronic music and ethnomusicology—two fields that continue to inspire my passion for blending diverse musical styles. My career has been shaped by innovation and collaboration, from helping to launch sampling technology at E-MU, to working on drum machine breakthroughs with Roger Linn, and partnering with Apple at the legendary Record Plant Studios.
My love for music began the moment I saw The Beatles live in 1965, and it deepened with my lifelong appreciation for Pop and Motown. Today, I'm an avid Logic Pro user, constantly writing, mixing, and producing new material. My goal is to create a few new songs each week while actively pursuing sync licensing opportunities.
As a longtime enthusiast of breakthrough technologies, I was an early adopter of AI music tools. I became fascinated with how detailed, emotionally rich lyric prompts could shape AI-generated songs. I often ran 10 to 20 variations of a song before landing on something I truly loved—and the results were frequently remarkable. Then as a good composer I would take the stems into Logic X and begin to mix, EQ, add ambiance and master each track before uploading to Spotify and YouTube, and 20 others. Its been fun.
I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with two other talented lyricists on nearly 200 pieces. The LISTEN NOW link showcases a curated selection of our work.
While the industry continues to navigate the monetization of AI-generated music, especially regarding copyright and sync licensing, I remain optimistic. Until the path is clearer, I’m focusing on traditional compositions—but I’ve also written a book on AI and creativity, which I’ll soon be offering as a free download.

The first time I heard Guy’s brand of Gypsy swing—his writing, his playing—I was floored. It struck a deep chord in me. There was something both electrifying and timeless about it. Historically, this music holds real significance, and Guy absolutely nails it. The band was born in the fall of 2012, originally coming together to perform at a memorial show honoring a close friend and fellow musician. Each member brings decades of experience and deep roots in the hard rock and metal scenes.
Their self-titled debut album, Seventrain, was independently released worldwide in 2014. It made an immediate impact, charting at #36 on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 in its first week at radio (February 25, 2014), and received critical acclaim from metal press around the globe. That same year, the band earned a nomination for Best Hard Rock Album at the San Diego Music Awards.

Jimmy is one of those rare, traditional blues guitarists who plays every note with intention and soul. Every bend, every phrase, carries weight—his guitar doesn’t just sing; it speaks. Few musicians possess the depth, feel, and musical vocabulary that Jimmy brings to the blues. As a composer, he’s as authentic as they come—he knows exactly who he is and what he loves about this genre, and it shines through in everything he creates.
Jimmy's dedication to blues guitar runs deep—resonating for over 50 years. We've known each other since 1979, and I’ve had the privilege of watching his journey unfold. Early on, we recorded together with Jason Scheff, long before his time with the band "Chicago." Just recently, I was reminded of a track we laid down with Mike Hightower, the acclaimed blues bassist and LA producer. To now, nearly five decades later, be collaborating again with both of them—Jimmy and Mike—feels like a full-circle blessing.
Jimmy’s blues compositions are the real deal—honest, raw, and unmistakably him. He’s a true bluesman, and his music speaks louder than any introduction ever could.
Russ grew up near Sacramento, California, with a deep love for music. Though he tinkered with guitar in high school, life took him in other directions—marriage, kids, and two decades away from playing. That changed when his son Tynan picked up a guitar at 15 and quickly became a blues prodigy. Inspired, Russ dusted off his old instrument and began learning again—this time, with his son as his teacher.
Following a divorce, he dove into local jam sessions, writing his first song, “Till Death Do Us Part,” and discovering a passion for songwriting and performing. Encouraged by fellow musicians and mentored by guitarist Mick Valentino, he built a band, honed his skills, and found his voice.
A pivotal moment came when blues legend Taj Mahal reminded him that great music comes from surrounding yourself with great musicians—and holding your own. Now eight years into playing, and four years into writing and singing, Russ continues to create from the heart. With two grown kids, two grandkids, and a growing catalog of songs, he’s living proof that it’s never too late to follow your passion.

This album presents a carefully curated instrumental journey through centuries of Christmas music, celebrating timeless melodies from the Renaissance to the Classical era. With great care and reverence for tradition, we employed period-appropriate instrumentation and meticulous miking techniques to capture the subtle beauty and dynamics of each performance.
Recorded in an acoustically rich studio setting, the project features an ensemble of harp, oboe, English horn, flute, bass flute, clarinet, and bassoon—each chosen for their warmth and expressive tone. Light handheld percussion, recorded with sensitivity to the historical context, was tastefully overdubbed to enhance the period authenticity without overpowering the arrangements.
All selections are drawn from the public domain, ensuring a collection of familiar yet elegantly understated holiday pieces. The result is a refined and atmospheric recording—perfect as a musical backdrop for holiday-themed films, television, or intimate seasonal gatherings.
